WHAT IS BEHIND MOTUS?
WHO IS BEHIND MOTUS?
The idea of the MOTUS Software and MOTUS Research Platform is shaped by three researchers of the Research Group TOR. Joeri Minnen conducted 15 years of methodological research on time-use surveys and is responsible for the daily maintenance and further development of the software platform. Ignace Glorieux is one of the world's leading sociologists of time, president of the International Association for Time Use Research (IATUR vzw) and actively present in the media concerning topics related to daily time issues. Theun Pieter van Tienoven recently wrote his PhD on daily routines and the importance of temporal structures and focusses on valorisation of time-use data. The three researchers combine their strengths within hbits, a spin-off of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
WHO CAN USE MOTUS?
The MOTUS Software serves a wide range of research topics for academic, (semi-) governmental and commercial goals. It can be used to study social behaviour, time-use, social policy, health, workload, job satisfaction, or user research. Generally, anyone interested in truly understanding daily human behaviour by studying it within the social, temporal, spatial and environmental context of daily life, can use the MOTUS Software to design a customised survey. Interested to use the MOTUS Software, please contact us.
What is the MOTUS Research Platform?
The MOTUS Research Platform hosts MOTUS Researches, divided over many scientific disciplines, policy domains, and business strategies. Overall, MOTUS Researches are studies with a strong emphasis on human behaviour and the context in which it takes place to get a better understanding of current and future behaviour.
